Temple Law Ranks 19th Nationally for Clinical Opportunities

Temple Law School has been ranked 19th nationally for clinical opportunities in the Winter 2014 issue of PreLaw magazine.

Temple has been widely recognized as a leader in clinical legal education since opening the Temple Legal Aid Office in 1953.  Today, in addition to the three in-house clinics offered through Legal Aid, Temple offers 28 external clinics in a wide variety of settings. Opportunities include traditional practice areas like civil litigation, criminal defense and prosecution, bankruptcy, and tax as well as more unique offerings like a disaster relief clinic through the Red Cross of Southeastern PA and an internship in the Philadelphia D.A.'s Charging Unit, both of which are designed to accommodate evening students. New this spring is the Social Justice Lawyering Clinic and Seminar, which will be held at the new Stephen and Sandra Sheller Center for Social Justice.

Many students also take advantage of Temple's other elective experiential offerings, which include award-winning integrated programs in trial advocacy and transactional law, immersive summer experiences in D.C. and Philadelphia, and our unique Practicum program.  Additionally, Temple Law's first year curriculum includes Introduction to Transactional Skills and Litigation Basics, hailed by National Jurist magazine as among the 15 most innovative ideas in experiential legal education.
